Our special project this year is the No Stone Unturned Foundation, a local non-profit organization providing speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, applied behavioral therapy and diagnostic testing. They have partnered with KU Medical Center to conduct on-site autism diagnosis testing. In December, they will be opening Katie’s Way, a local counseling center for youth and young adults. They are currently serving over 500 children, including many families from Ft. Riley. We are submitting a PIFF grant matching grant application along with a grant request from the Kemper Foundation through Commerce Bank.

This past year we applied for and provided two PI scholarships for K-State students, as well as a Sunflower Pilot Club $500 scholarship to a Manhattan High senior student. Other projects for this year will include assisting the Crisis Center and Homestead (home for human trafficking), Big Lakes Development Center, MS Walk-A-Thon, Summer Fund Camp (for autistic children), emergency room clothing kits, Royal Family Kids Camp (for foster kids in Kansas), and delivering Friendship meals. A special “Pick-Me-Up” event will be planned this Fall for No Stone Unturned volunteers/parents. We are also hoping to partner with the two other Manhattan area Pilot Clubs to continue Brainminders.
Our primary fundraisers for this year will include our annual garage sale, parking cars at a KSU football game, and selling Poinsettias for Christmas.
